First mobility in Vinkovci, Croatia - Day 1

Saturday, 15/02: Having just arrived the day before, all three trans-national teams from Greece, Italy and Spain, along with their hosting counterpart, set off on the mobility schedule by visiting Nevkoš (waste management facility for Vinkovci) and their recycling center where they learned about waste management in Vinkovci and the recycling possibility of Vinkovci and Croatia...

Later on that day, all students and escorting teachers attended a workshop about recycling with teacher Ozrenka and constructed a recreation of an emblematic building and an ORION calendar pot out of recycled material...

"Have you ever been at the main city square in Vinkovci and looked the floor that you walking on? Whether you have or haven't now you have the opportunity to visit this square. The square floor is decorated with some symbols that may or may not look to you as one. They are actually forming an Orion calendar. In 1978, the oldest Indo-European calendar was dug out at Vinkovci. It is shown on a nice piece of ceramic dish of some kind. Picture attached below shows that ceramic piece with calendar symbols on it and its meanings. So this piece of history is here so come and take a walk down the city square and enjoy..."
